Computers are also available for children on the 1st floor and for teens in the Teen Zone on the 2nd floor. These computers can be accessed with your library card number and PIN. Guest passes are available at the Youth Desk on the 1st floor for children and teens. Computer sessions are 2 hours, but session time may be extended if there are still available computers. All computers have USB ports and accept flash drives.
Don’t have a library card? An express use computer is available on the second floor of the library. Sessions are 15 minutes and users can sign in with their first name in lieu of library card number.
Library Laptop Checkout
Library card holders with a valid government issued photo ID can check out a library laptop from the Ask a Librarian Desk for day use. Log in with your library card number and PIN. You will initially be given two hours on the laptop, but your time can be extended if laptops are available for other patrons to use. The laptop is due back by closing on the same day of check out.

If your research leads you to documents or newspapers in microfilm or microfiche format, Prescott Public Library has a ScanPro All-in-One Scanner located in the Ruffner Reading Room on the 2nd floor of the library. This machine allows users to read, scan, save, and print from both microfilm and microfiche.
Print, Scan, and Fax
Inside the library, you can print, scan, and copy your documents using library machines. With our MobilePrint service, you can also send documents to our printer from your home computer or mobile device.
Black and white printing costs 10¢ per page; color printing costs 50¢ per page.
A self-service fax vending machine is available for use on the 2nd floor of the library. The first page costs $1.75, each page after is $1. A credit or debit card is required.
Technology Help
Whether you’re new to technology or just need a refresher, Prescott Public Library has a variety of technology help options to answer your questions and build your confidence with your devices.
The Book-a-Librarian service provides 30 minute sessions of one-to-one uninterrupted, personalized technology assistance with a librarian. Librarians can help with searching the internet, using basic computer software, starting or using an email account, navigating your smartphone or tablet, and using the library’s catalog and online resources.
Librarians are not able to type your documents, fix your personal devices besides basic troubleshooting, build websites, answer complex technical questions, or provide tax or legal help.
Pre-scheduled Book-a-Librarian appointments are available for registration on our online calendar. You may also call 928-777-1526 or fill out the form below to book an appointment. A librarian will respond to your request within three business days.
