How it Works
It is the goal of Prescott Public Library to provide library services to all Yavapai County residents. A library card entitles the patron to checkout materials from any Yavapai Library Network library, use the library computers, and use the library’s electronic resources. Patrons are responsible for all items checked out on their card and agree to the lending rules of the library.
A library card gives you access to:
- Books, magazines, DVDs, Blu-rays, music CDs, and audiobooks.
• Online Resources including the Kanopy streaming service.
• eBooks and downloadable audiobooks through Overdrive/Libby.
• Our Library of Things including Wi-Fi hotspots and hiking kits.
• Access to material from 50+ libraries in the Yavapai Library Network.
Check My Account
To check your library account:
- Click on the “Sign In” button, which appears at the top right of the website.
• Login with your library card number (barcode) and PIN.
• Click on the tabs to view your checkouts or holds.
Need more? Get detailed instructions for searching the catalog and using your account.
Did you know you can also create book lists in your account? These are lists of items that you create, making it easy to keep track of what you would like to read or have already read. From your lists, you can place holds, email a title to a friend, and more.
To create a list just click Add to List under the title record of any item you want to remember as you’re searching or browsing. Once you click Add to List you will see a popup that already has a list called My Favorites. You can save items to that list or you can click Create a New List. Give the new list an appropriate name and description and you’re on your way. You can create as many lists as you would like.
The library staff will be happy to assist you with your library account or your book lists. Call the Ask a Librarian Desk at 928.777.1526 or the Youth Desk at 928.777.1537 for more information.
